At the King Charles Hotel we have 97 en suite rooms designed to suit a wide range of needs and requirements. From professionals who might be taking advantage of our excellent corporate event facilities, to the family who are taking some time out to explore the local area, we have a room that is perfect for you.

The choice is yours

We have single rooms, double or twin rooms, triple rooms that feature two single beds in one room and one single bed in an adjoining room and ‘quad’ rooms that have adjoining rooms with two single beds in each room.

All our rooms are well appointed and feature en suite facilities. We also have a range of family rooms for up to 5 guests. Please specify when booking who is in your group so we can allocate the right room for your exact needs.

Our Bridal suites

We have a choice of 3 excellent bridal suites, each with their own special features. We have the Spa Suite, our most luxurious suite that boasts a spa bath for 2 and classic sleigh bed and is split across 2 levels. Or for something more classic, we have the Four Poster Deluxe Suite that features a solid wood 4 poster bed and spa bath. Finally we have the Four Poster Suite that features a classic four poster bed, and spacious walk in shower.

Enjoy breakfast in any of our bridal suites, spend time together and celebrate your nuptials in style or to simply unwind and relax, we have the perfect bridal suite for you.

A more comfortable stay

All our rooms and bridal suites come with an en suite bathroom, hair dryer, Freeview television, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and complimentary Wi-Fi.

In the interest of security and to prevent fraud, guests may be asked to confirm their identity with a valid photographic ID document. Guests travelling from outside of the UK must provide a copy of their passport/identity card and details of their next destination which are kept on file for at least 1 year and are made available to police on request.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the required documentation detailed above.

Smoking Policy

The hotel operates a strict non-smoking policy. A cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who chooses to ignore our smoking policy.

Credit Cards

MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit, Diner’s Club, American Express, Switch, Maestro.

A valid debit or credit card is required at the time of booking and will be authorised 48 hours before check-in for the first night of your stay. No booking is confirmed unless valid card details have been provided. We reserve the right to cancel any unsecured reservation.

You will be asked to present the same card used to secure your booking on arrival in order to complete your transaction. Please be aware that it may take 5 to 7 working days for these funds to be released back into your account if you decide to pay by another method on check-in and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
